The 2026 BET Awards, held on June 28 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, delivered a vibrant celebration of Black excellence across music, film, and culture. Hosted by comedian Druski, the night blended high-energy performances, emotional tributes, and standout fashion moments.

Teyana Taylor emerged as the biggest winner, taking home four awards including the prestigious Icon of the Year and Fashion Vanguard Award, while Cardi B secured Best Female Hip-Hop Artist.  Kehlani also had a strong night, winning Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and Video of the Year.

One of the evening’s most memorable highlights was the tribute to Lauryn Hill, who received the inaugural Living Legend Icon Award. The tribute featured performances from top artists like SZA, Doja Cat, and Nas, celebrating Hill’s enduring influence in music.

Beyond the awards, the red carpet delivered bold fashion statements, with stars like Keke Palmer and Teyana Taylor leading best dressed conversations.  Overall, the 2026 BET Awards once again proved why it remains “Culture’s Biggest Night,” spotlighting both established icons and rising stars shaping the future of entertainment.
